Home, and ready for a nap... eight hours worth, at least.

Yesterday/last night was not a good time for sleeping. One of those awake every thirty minutes times. I got up several times during the night, stayed up for a while and went back to bed.

But I think that I'll be able to sleep now... I just had one of Eileene's excellent backrubs... really relaxing. I just love girls with strong hands... and endurance. I can give pretty good backrubs myself, but my hands wear out so fast...

Got most of everything done with Eileene's computer that can be done. I couldn't get a grafics program to initialize properly, then I remembered that it had to have at least 800X600, and she was running 640X480, so that got cured. Put more memory in, but keep getting a memory parity error on boot-up, I couldn't seem to get that resolved. She's got 48 Megs now, though.980609

I am still lacking in ambition... I kinda want to get on with the Unix project, get that system built, but I'm draggin' my feet for some reason or another. Maybe my subconscious just realizes that I'm tapped out. Or maybe I'm just lazy. I did get the RedHat version ordered, though, that should be here sometime this week. That'll probably get me off my ass.

Actually, this weekend's project... the archives... took a lot out of me. Lotsa mindless cut'n'pasting. How did it go, now... select the file, select the text, save it, switch to the old file, cut the text from that, re-do the date, paste the new text, do a save-as, then yes-I-do-want-to-overwrite the-existing-file, select the original file again, tell it to not reload, then close it. I did this about 700 times. I'll never do it again.

I won't need to. Next time around, if there is a next time, I can just do a find and replace, since all of the files are the same structure-wise. A little thinking ahead, there.

I shoulda thought of that long ago. *sigh*

Bedtime now.

Thanx for being here!
