29 MAY 1998

What a night! Run, run, run Doug's ass off. Didn't have time to write. Didn't have time to BS, didn't even have time to eat.

And on top of that, I had to stay late.

And I'm really tired, too.

O'well. Makes up for the times I get to sit around and visit and eat...

We had a beautiful thunderstorm come over at about 04:45... thunder (natch) lightning almost constant, an utter downpour... I'll bet that we got two inches is less than a half-hour... and pea-size hail, enough to cover the ground.

And wind! Gusts up to about 50 MPH for the whole half-hour or forty-five minutes. One strange thing, though... it remained warm. Usually with a thunderstorm, there is some cooling... but not with this one. It just seemed to increase the humidity from 95% to 98%, and the temp stayed in the low eighties.

After work, I went home and found the registration renewal stuff... buried under a bunch of other stuff... I was thinking that I could do this Monday, on the 31st... then I looked at a calender, and found out that Monday was the first, and I would be illegal.

So I got down to the courthouse, and found out that they wouldn't let me renew my tags until I paid the back taxes980529.jpg on a Suzuki MC that I had bought for JD when he moved here from Wyoming. I had sold it six months later, but the guy that I sold it to didn't register it for two more years... so the county thought that I owed them the money. Assholes... so I paid them.

Then I went by a car lot that a girl works at that I knew really well a number of years ago... last time I bought a car, she gave me hell for not buying it from her, so I thought I'd talk to her. Well, she doesn't sell cars anymore, but she rents them. So she set me up with a salesman to see tomorrow. She told me that they've got a really good deal on Rangers, like 0.9% interest... with the three tradeins, I might be able to get a pretty good deal. We'll see...

And it's real late, and I really want to go to sleep...

O'yeah, I got an email from Mom yesterday finally. She told me that I shouldn't expect to hear from her every day, she has a LIFE!

Go figger. Some people's mothers...

Thanx for being here!
