Well, that wasn't much of a start, I'm afraid. I need a good swift kick in the ass to get me going today.

The journal-fest was a bust. I guess everyone but me kinda backed out... shelly said that she'd meet me for lunch somewhere but I wasn't really up for that, although I really want to get together with her sometime soon.

I did get a good nights sleep last night, though, then I got up about 05:15 when Karen did... and went back to sleep about 07:00 and slept until 11:30 or so, I should be well-rested.

JD did some more yard work for me this afternoon. It's still really muggy here, humidity around 95% even though the temp is in the mid-80s F. Just unpleasant to be out in, especially if you're doing any work. Not that I would do any work...

I'm just kinda down in the doldrums. And I wonder where that expression came from. Once again, I remember my mom saying that...

Speaking of Mom, we (JD, Lisa and I) are going down there on Sunday, I'm coming back on Monday and JD and Lisa are going back to Texas. Hopefully, we'll get everything set up and she can be on-line... I'm going to get her an account with the IBM setup, they have a local number there and pretty cheap service. And I downloaded the software from their website, so the setup should be automatic, and I like that.

That doesn't mean that I won't screw it up some way or another...

O'yeah, the nilknarf.net site is back up, on a new machine and faster(!) than ever. So they say.

I need to find some way of having fun tonight. JD and Lisa are going to KC to see a band (Season to Risk) who is celebrating their third CD release. And there are supposed to be some severe thunderstorms in the vicinity to provide me with entertainment in case I can't find anything else...
