Conversely, an easy night. There should be some way of evening things out. Work my ass off one night, sit around on it the next. That makes no sense whatsoever. Just like a lot of the rest of the world...

15:39... I had a nice nap. Went to sleep around 10:30, woke up at 13:30, raring to go! When I went into the living room, I said hi to JD and Lisa and spotted a FedEx package... my laptop battery has arrived. It is presently accepting its first charge. I have to remember to condition it every few weeks. I wonder how long that'll last... kinda like the resolution to keep your auto clean and shiney when you buy a new one...

JD and Lisa are bored, so they went out to the mall. They invited me along, but I politely declined. I don't think that I've been to the mall since before xmas. JD spent a lot of time yesterday working on the yard, and he did a really good job. It's nice to be able to get someone else to do the work.

Weather... last night was very muggy and warm. I'm sick of summer and it's only May. We did have a weather event yesterday in Kansas... the temperature in Emporia, soutn and a little west of here, went from 70F to 90F in about five minutes shortly after 07:00. A "heat burst" or a "heat bubble".

We're supposed to get t-storms from tonight through Saturday night. I guess that I just missed one this morning; JD said that he got up at 11:00 it was storming, but it just lasted a few minutes.

nilknarf.net has been down most of the day... I got a message that they're changing servers, and we get 15 days free for putting us with the situation. Like we had a choice.

And it also appears that I did not send out my update notice yesterday, or post the update on the networksplus.net site. Jeez, I'm getting forgetful in my golden years...

Five days off. And I've started off right... with a nap, so I can sleep tonight and get right with the program. Whatever the program may be. That is kinda still up in the air... I don't know if the journal-fest is on or off, if it will be just me and shelly and Ja or who else might be there or if we've just called it off. I hope that it's not the latter, I'm looking forward to meeting Ja and shelly. We were kinda planning to get together in January, but that fell through some way or another.

Getting this in chunks today. We just got back from eating at the Outback Steak house. OK, but expensive. North star would've been better, but I didn't think so at the time. I was too hungry to think, and now I'm not. Life. Isn't. Fair!
