Tough night.

I never did get any more sleep last night, and they ran me hard at work anyway... no sympathy whatsoever. Not that I ever have any for anybody...

I got hammered about as soon as I got there. Patient after patient after patient after patient. Nobody was gonna walk out of our emergency department un-radiated!

It ended, finally, around 01:15; then I got to start on three hours of paperwork (after getting lunch, of course!)... at one point I was five patients behind, and I really hate to get behind. It just makes me work harder and faster until I get caught up, and then I'm about too tired to move.

So... after work, I went over to Joes' to pick up the Photoshop CD; it won't work on his machine. He finally get it to install, but kept getting a fault when he tried to run it. I found out that the device driver for his video card wouldn't let him get more than 16 colors. Photoshop needs much, much more than that. He's going to get on the phone today with the Everex people, to solve that problem and the modem driver problem. Sometimes WIN95 can use his moden, other times it just gets confused.

The reason that I wanted the PS disk is to try to install it on Eileene's machine, since I was planning on installing a HD on her system this morning.

The operative word here is planning, because I wound up not getting it done, mostly because I forgot my glasses. (I find that I can't read the little print on the HDs, and there was a conflict between her original 545HD and the new one. The CMOS just simply would not believe that there was another disk out there, I think that the original HD was telling it NO! NO! This is my territory! Anyhoo, Eileen had a dental appointment, so I brought the books home with me and we'll try again next week.

So... I'm really draggin' and I think that it's bedtime for this bozo...
