Especially the part where the optometrist took the piece of dirt from underneath my eyelid. That was definitely the best part.
I was up until 04:30 or something like that, then I finally went to sleep... until about 07:30. At that point I knew that there was something wrong with my eye that it was going to take more than time to fix, so I got on the phone with my doc. In the old days, I would've just gone on down to Med-assist, but I can't do that since I don't work there anymore.
So, instead of doing things the easy way, my doc had his nurse call around to get an appointment with an optometrist. At 13:00.
I got there and did the paperwork, and the guy took me in and looked at my eye. He remarked on the amazing amount of scar tissue that I have on my right eye, and said that I did have a little scratch, but it looked like it was healing, I should not worry about it.
But I persevered with my story and convinced him to look farther... I knew that this wasn't going to go away by itself or I wouldn't've been there. So he rolled up my eyelid and found a teeny tiny speck of dirt... he said that
Unfortunately, It didn't make my headache go away. O, I hadn't mentioned that yet, had I? Yep, I think that the eye problem gave me a headache, one of the worst that I've had for a while. I think that the lack of sleep probably had something to do with it too. Anyway, the HA is still with me.
So, after seeing the eye guy, I thought that I'd go get some lawn stuff, but I didn't. I went to the store but my head hurt so much and I was so tired that I decided that this would really be a stupid time to try to make decisions like what kind of fertilizer to buy etc. so I just came on home.
I piddled around for a while, then said the hell with it an went to bed. Karen came in when she got home and asked me if I wanted to get up, and I naturally said no... so I finally got up about 21:30. My eye is now just fine, but my headache is persisting.
So, my plan is to stay up all night, maybe go out to Hypermart to get some lawn stuff (they're open 24 hrs) and go to sleep sometime late morning, so I will be ready to go back to work.
it looked like a very small seed of some sort... adhered to the underside of my eyelid. And, with the removal, my eye immediately felt much better.
