Well, this is the day... the night, rather, that I return to work. Begin the re-training. It does seem like ages since I've been to the hospital, I guess that's what vacations are for.

I went to bed about 04:30 this morning and woke up about 12:00; when I came into the living-room, Karen was laying on the couch. She has another of her damned headaches and had to come home from work.

She thinks that these are sinus headaches, but she has none of the other symptoms of sinusitis except for the sore face and the headache. Xrays of her sinuses in the past have shown them to be clear, and she has no nasal drainage. I'm beginning to think that she is allergic to something that affects her serous tissue, inflaming the lining of her sinuses. But there seems to be no pattern to these things whatsoever... it's damned puzzling and frustrating, and even worse for her.

Also, if it were her sinuses, it should be helped with sinus medication, but that hardly ever works... and the times that it has could be merely a coincidence.

There are great big storm clouds boiling up all over Kansas and Nebraska and Oklahoma right now... along with our very first tornado watch! What an exciting time of the year it is to be living in the great plains!

I was kinda hoping to get some more sleep before going in to work tonight, but that doesn't seem too likely. Karen is still with the HA and the kids are all here and the omens are not propitious. O'well, I'll give it a try anyhoo. I've got an 08:30 dentist appointment in the morning to fill a cavity that I noticed while I was on vacation, so I'll probably go to sleep in his chair. I do like to be somewhat out of it when I visit the dentist, it makes for a much more exciting experience...
