Two years ago, I made the first entry in this journal. Happy anniversary, Nilknarf!

I got up late again after getting to bed early... I'm catching up on my sleep big-time now, it seems! Chuck got off to the airport for a meeting he had in NYC, he won't be back before we leave.

Karen and I decided against going downtown this afternoon, the Arizona Diamondbacks ( a new NL baseball team) are having their first game in their new stadium, and the downtown area is expected to be a massive traffic-jam, and I would rather not do the traffic-jam scene in Phoenix... so we just went out tooling around. We got lost, of course, going in great big circles. On the way, we stopped and hiked about half-way up a mountain (lookout? maybe...) and I left three lighters and two packs of cigarettes up at our high point as a symbolic gesture. Yep, I'm trying it again, folks...(12 hours later and still doing fine, but I don't know why...) Karen and I finally found our way to the shopping center that we were kinda trying to go to completely by accident. We ate in a pretty exclusive restaurant and then walked around this very exclusive outdoor mall and I got a couple of Godiva chocolates. MMMmmmmm good!

I don't really know what we did on this evening... I didn't write down anything, so we probably just sat around and BSed with Judy. Did I mention that she's a delightful person, besides being beautiful and an excellent cook? No? Well, consider it mentioned...
