I was sorely remiss yesterday... I didn't mention Lacees' Birthday! Yes, my li'l angel was five years old yesterday! The reason that I forgot was... her birthday party is today out at Magic Forest ( a party-place for kids) and I was stressing on how to get out of going. I know, that's not very grandfatherly, but I can't stand those places. Too damned many kids around, and then there's the parents... and the grandparents...

Well, I now have a legitimate excuse: I got my ass worked off last night, and you have to have an ass to go to a party.

The main hospital computer system went down yesterday evening, they're doing an upgrade. So I had to do everything by hand, then enter everything into our radiology/lab system... about three times the normal paperwork. And it was Friday night, and the dreaded doc-who-orders-xrays-on-everyone-who-walks-in-the-door was on. Don't get me wrong, he's a nice guy, and a good doc, but I have to work too fucking hard when he's on.

And, on top of everything else, Shawn, the security guy who called me the other night about the cat, decided that he didn't want to see him, he knew that he would take him if he saw him... he's just afraid of responsibility, I guess. He's also got a snake, and I thought that he might want to trade his boa... I thought that it would be cool to set up a snake-cam... only I wrote sanka-cam the first time... Sanka is nasty stuff, I haven't thought about it for a while, and I wish that I wouldn't've just now, either...

I'm trying to avoid having another cup of coffee, but it's hard... Karen brewed up a pot and it smells wonderful!

A fun thing happened at work the other day... someone had hired a young guy as a temporary clerk in Radiology, and the day before he was supposed to start he was arrested for kidnapping and aggravated sodomy. Just the kind of guy we need working at a hospital, huh?

Well, I'm off to snooze for a few, then get up and get some stuff done around here... maybe...
