In the Middle of the Night...

Busy, busy busy! One of the busiest nights that I've had in a long time, just by the volume of patients... nothing spectacular happened, just fingers and toes and hips and noses. I've done about 30 patients, though, more than enough to keep me humpin'.

And I really didn't get much sleep, either. I slept from about 13:30 until 16:00, then stayed up until Karen and Kim got home, then I went back to bed about 18:30 but I never quite went back to sleep... just lay there watching the clock. The alarm went off at 19:30 and I snoozed it a couple of times, almost going to sleep then....

While I was up, I tried getting on-line with my new service, but no-go. Didn't like my password. Tried repeatedly, then I finally went back to Kspress and got on. I was able then to pick my mail up from the new place, and FTP some files, but I still can't get on with a dial-up connection... and it worked perfectly the first two times that I tried it in the afternoon.

My buddy Joe has had the same problem with them... I need to go through the documentation that I downloaded and printed from them... it's gotta be something in the dial-up networking somewhere. So when I solve my problem, I can solve Joe's problem too.

All of my problems, however, will be solved tomorrow night: I found a lottery ticket for the Powerball game, the numbers will be drawn at 21:58 and I will have over 50 million dollars.

Right! Do you remember what the lottery is? It's a tax on the mathematically challenged... but not on me. And I found the ticket, three bucks worth of QuickPick numbers... how could I go wrong?

Home again... and draggin', I might add. Kim is sick today... stressed out, she sez. I believe her. I've been fighting with modem and network config files to no avail... hopefully I'll hear back from the networksplus people today. But right now, I'm goin' to bed.

Thanx for being here!
