16 FEBRUARY 1998

A very crummy night's sleep, fraught with weird dreams:
  • I was observing a parade or something, and there was a woman on very tall stilts. One of her (real) legs was broken, so she had these very long crutches. And not just two, either, but about five of them, which she rotated.
  • I was in an old building, blowing up shit with a bazooka. There was another guy with me, donno who he was, but he was crazy too. There were cops (bad guys) all over the place shooting at us. Like a video game, only much more real... except that I was, of course, invincible. Finding lost treasures and interesting objects, including a large vial of mercury. I ingested half of it, my partner, who was by now female, drank the other half. She then began disrobing and the dream ended.

I don't think that I have ever had sex in a dream. The closest that I have come is when I get very close to the girl and slip my hand between her legs and she's not a girl. At that point I am horrified, and the dream ends.

Luckily, I do not ascribe any meaning at all to dreams, or I might be disturbed with that last one. I am very secure in my masculinity, thank you very much.

Anyway, we got up early this morning... I was up about 03:00, Karen got up at 05:30... so that Steve could bring the kids over and get to work by 06:00. Karen was exhausted Sunday evening after we hot tubbed and she went to bed about 20:00, but she says that she didn't sleep well either. So Patrick went to sleep, and Karen took Lacee to the sitter's on her way to work. Patrick woke up about 08:00 and laid on the couch and watched cartoons until about 10:00, and we went to the bank (it was closed, dammit) and then to McDonalds. I spent the rest of the day on the computer, he in front of the TV.

Steve picked him up about 15:30, and Karen got home right at 17:00. We had some salmon and a baked potato and brussels sprouts and went out to the hot tub for about 30 minutes... and now neither of us can hardly stay awake.

Back to work tomorrow night...

Thanx for being here!
