I finally found out what the hold-up was on getting my virtual server and domain name (nilknarf.com, of course!). Seems like they're having trouble setting up their secure server, so they can't get my money. This kinda bothers me, because the secure server is part of what they're selling... even though I'm not going to be using it, if they're selling it as part of the package, it should be available.

I do hope that this isn't going to be one of those deals where I get screwed... there have been way too many of those lately. They did, at least, get the domain name registered properly, so that won't be a hold-up when the rest is working. Anyway, they told me it would be up "in a few days".

I stayed up as late as I could last night, about 02:00. Lacee started off sleeping with Karen, so I had to haul her out of the bed and into the living room on the couch. After I got her tucked in, I was going in the bedroom door and collided with Karen, who was getting up to use the bathroom. Scared the shit outta me, I donno why. Got my heart rate up and everything. And Karen thought it was funny, of course, and she went right back to sleep.

One of the things I was working on last night was the site design for the virtual server. Unfortunately, I've got five or six separate designs in different folders on my HD, and I'm having a hard time remembering which parts of which design I'm gonna be using. I had one that used CSS very effectively, but I can't find it... I'm afraid that I've overwritten it. O'well, I'll just do it again... practice makes perfect, huh.

I'm just getting started on my second pot of coffee and I'm starting to feel half-way decent. Next up: a shave and a haircut and a shower. I hope to get together with Marva this afternoon for coffee, I haven't seen her since before xmas, we've got some catching up to do.
