It was a long old night after a day of not enough rest. I slept from about 13:00 to 17:00 yesterday, got up because I thought that things were supposed to start happening right after 17:00. Well, I was wrong. We finally got over to Andy and Karla's at about 18:30, then we proceeded to wait for Kim and Steve and Packy and Lacee, who were supposedly "on their way". They finally got there about 19:45, and it took about fifteen minutes to get everything organized for Santa. So, I had about twenty minutes, then I had to go to work.
It was snowing pretty hard when I left Andy's, but it had tapered off quite a bit by the time I got to the hospital. The streets were just slush, and this morning they're frozen slush.Road Crews? in Topeka? You gotta be kidding!
I was fairly busy most of the night, doing six head CTs during the night, but not too much else. I didn't feel like writing, even... just fatigued. And... my legs hurt all night. Both of them. I think that now that I know what's going on, I'm maybe just more conscious of the pain, whereas before I knew that I was gonna have to live with it and did pretty good at ignoring it.
Anyways, I'm going to bed now. Karen is going to Wichita, so I'll be on my own for a few days.
O'yeah, Karen wrote me a poem for the season, and I wrote her one too. I'll try to post them tomorrow....
