There is more snow in the offing today, it snowed about an inch earlier, then quit. It was those great big compound flakes falling straight down; simply beautiful.

I'm working on my second pot of coffee already. This is a great day for sitting and writing and watching it snow... only it's not snowing right now. So I'm sitting and writing and watching it not snow.

The kitten (I guess his name is not precious, dammit, I was over-ruled... in favor of what I do not know...) is seemingly everywhere at once. He terrorizes Cowboy and Midnight, neither of them will play with him. He is sitting on a chair, watching me type. I surprised him by talking like a duck to him. He thought that he had me figgered out, huh?

I am still majorly undecided on the web-cam thing. Nobody has sent me any email either pro or con. Possibly nobody is reading this; all of my counter-clicks are web 'bots searching for... whatever it is they search for.

Anyway, if you have an opinion (on anything) let me know! Of course, if you have no opinions, I would like to know that, too.

Yesterday was a DDS (didn't do shit)day and I have the feeling that today will be more of the same. The ambition that I had last week has disappeared, supplanted with a feeling of ennui that I am pretty comfortable with. Well, maybe not really comfortable with, exactly, but I don't really feel like breaking out of it. Justification: I did a lot of stuff in four days, time to rest on it. I'm good at resting, it's one of my favorite activities sometimes.

I have agreed to be a beta tester for a new web-editing program, I don't know why I did that. I'm really liking Homesite 3.0, and I did pay for it, after all. Just wanting to see what's there, I guess. I am feeling a vague sense of disloyalty to Homesite.

The squirrels are out in force today... right now, there are five of them in view out of my window. They're not playing, though... each of them seems to have a destination in mind... there is something urgent about them. Maybe they realize that this weather is a harbinger of rough times.

I'm slowly getting the basement in shape. And I have a confession to make... I have stopped going outside to smoke, but I am smoking in the basement instead. Therefore, every time that I go down to smoke, I do something in the basement, no matter how trivial. That is the rule. And it seems to be working.

And it's cold outside.

More later...

Thanx for being here!
