Last night should not have been bad: I wasn't very busy, and I had eight hours of sleep.
But it didn't seem like eight hours. And I needed to be busier to stay awake... I got the sleepies starting about 02:00 and they lasted until about 04:30, when I finally got to do some work.
Steve Tonar and I developed some black-and-white film that he had shot in one of the xray processors, and I think that it came out pretty good. We have been talking about going together and making a darkroom for B&W; I haven't done that for years and years, and I guess that, due to the lack of demand, B&W costs about twice as much to process than color film/prints does.
Most of my quality experience with photography has been with B&W, I haven't really done much photography in the last 30 years. Artistically, color gives you much more to work with; but B&W makes you work a lot harder for the image itself. That's a pretty simplistic way of putting it, I know. But without the color, an image has to be composed and thought out much more thoroughly to convey the atrist's feeling about the subject.
Anyway, I'm kinda down today, mostly because of tired, I think. Maybe a good day's rest will cure that...
