Well, I left for Huntsville last night about 22:00 and drove all night; it was a relatively uneventful trip.. I missed hitting three deer, but I got a racoon.
I got to J.D.. and Tyler's house shortly after JD and Lisa had left for school, but Tyler was still home, so he and I bsed while he got ready for work. He had to be at work at 11:00. I planned on taking a nap until everyone got home at about 17:00.
However.... tired as I was, I was unable to go to sleep. So I installed WIN95 on Tyler's machine. Then I went to sleep.
JD and Lisa had a class cancel, and Tyler got sent home early, and everyone got home about 14:00. I woke up, and we sat around for the next hour.
Someone turned on the TV, and there was a tornado touch-down in Houston, and another storm just north of Huntsville which could contain tornadic activity.... so we jump in JD's truck and start funnel-chasing. Yeah, I know I'm too old for that, but I had to go along with the boys, didn't I?
We didn't see any tornados, but we did see a lot of Texas. Mostly, the only sky that you can see in this country is overhead... the trees pretty much blot everything else out. Huntsville is just on the edge of Sam Houston National Forest, y'see...
We got home and continued playing with Tyler's computer, loading MSIE 4.0 and getting the connection to Sam Houston State University right. Then, I thought I'd rest my head a little bit, and I fell asleep again for another hour.
I forgot to bring my mailing list along anyway, dammit! And it would've been easy to set up, too. I hope that those people will forgive me...
I think that this is going to be an early night for me, I can just barely stay awake right now...
