30 JULY 1997

If I have one fault,(and please don't think about this too much) it is that I read too much from too many sources... and don't remember anything about where it came from and who wrote it. Yes, I screwed up again... the story yesterday was from Bill Chances' The Daily Epiphany in his 25 July entry. This is, I believe, the second time that I've accidentally lifted stuff from Bill and not given him proper credit for it before he reminds me. Just in case you've forgotten, The Daily Epiphany is my favorite journal.

I'm now (almost) free from work for a week. I still have to go in to Med-Assist this evening for four hours, then I'm off. This has been one of the longest weeks that I've been through.

When I talked to Karen this morning, she said that she'd gotten the tag number of a suspicious car that has been cruising the neighborhood late nights... the probable car burglars. Our neighbor accosted them the night before last... they were walking up onto his driveway at 02:00; he didn't accost them, really, just turned on his porch light and they left quickly. Anyway, I don't know whether to give the tag number to the police or use some inside sources and check the situation out myself. I should probably be safe and give it to the cops, but I'm awfully tempted to do it the other way.

Once again, I am going to need another day for my reply to Al in our god*counter-god dialogue. I was not able to read his Sunday entry until yesterday because I could not get connected to his site. As usual, I do have to have some time to think before I speak...

O'yeah! a big Happy Birthday! to Carol Peddle! Best wishes, Carol, have a happy!

That's all for now....

Big Important Announcement!

OK, I've been talked into it. The Notify List is now back! To jump on the band wagon, just email me and say "subscribe nilknarf" this is not an automated list; it will be run from MS Outlook Express (and it will be backed up regularly!)

An interesting night at Med-Assist. I didn't really want to get up very bad, I hit the snooze alarm about six times. Then I found out that this would be the last night I get to work with my favorite nurse and one of my favorite people in general, Margaret. I will miss working with her a lot. Plus I will have to break in a new nurse (Well, she's already broke in, but I've never worked with her before.) I'm really thinking about quitting there, I can't really keep up my skills only working one evening every two weeks. And they want me to work more, but I don't really want to work more... between a rock and a hard place, is what you call that. I'll see how it goes next time I work there, and decide then.

Going to get to bed early, Tyler and I are going fishing in the morning really early, and I feel like I could drop of any minute now...

Thanx for being here!
