We're getting an early start on the day. Tyler and I are going fishing with Doug Druse and we need to be at his house at 04:15. My alarms were set for 03:30, but I got up at 01:30, couldn't sleep. About 15 minutes later, here comes Tyler... he couldn't sleep either, so we've been surfing the net and re-doing some pages.
So, I thought that I'd put up a short entry right now, and follow it up later, regaling y'all with my wonderful fishing stories.
I'm not really sure how my back is going to hold up today, but if it starts hurting, I will be an innocent bystander... er, by-sitter, anyway...
However, I'm already draggin' ass. I really did want to get more than one hour's worth of sleep before we went... O'well...

Well, we had a wonderful trip, and I got to watch Doug and Tyler catch lots of fish. This, however, was not my day. I caught a total of three (3) bass, and only one of them was in the "decent" category. The other two were dinks. Tyler and Doug, between them, caught about 50, 40 of them being good fish. I have suffered a lot of good-natured ribbing today. Next time it'll be My Turn!
A nice long hot shower and a semi-long nap have refreshed me. It was hot out there today. After I laid down for a nap, I started having stomach problems, and I realized that I hadn't taken my Zantac for two days. Took the Zantac and felt a lot better in about an hour and went to sleep finally. I slept about four hours.
Shortly after I got up, Connie Garinger, a long-time acquaintence, brought over some pictures for me to scan, and she was amazed at how quick and easy it seemed. Connie was formerly married to Gaylen, my good friend for a number of years and the best man at my wedding. He and I have gone separate ways, unfortunately, and I miss him.
Karen acquired a headache at work today, so she got a nice backrub after everyone had left. Tyler went out to visit some friends, leaving Karen and I with a few precious moments alone. So she's watching TeeVee and I'm in here writing this..
I have a remedy for that, though!
We are doing much better with the plumbing jobs. Yesterday it only took us one trip to the hardware store, and we got the stool problem fixed. On to more ambitious things... Ah, I don't even want to think about it right now!
