We (Tyler and I) got up late today... after 12:00; Karen had been up since about 10:00 and had the paper read and the coffee on. I skimmed the paper and started catching up on last week's entries. I still need to go through them and check the links back and forth...
And I need to condense April's entries, too. That's a bigger chore.
It is wonderful to be home!
We talked to JD last night. His modem was evidently knocked out by a lightning storm that they had last night, so he's in the market for a new one. The old one was a 14.4 so he will be making an improvement. I checked our Best Buy ad this am, a 33.6 is going for 79 bucks. Damn, this stuff gets cheap fast!
My journal entries over this last week have been disjointed and jerky. Mostly, that's because I have some things that I haven't been talking about, some reflections of the last week. These will trickle out over the next week, however.
Karen went with Kim to Sams, leaving Tyler and I to our to our own devices. Soon we had schemed up a fishing trip, and started forthwith. We didn't get there 'til about 16:00, though, and it took us a while to start catching fish. Tyler hadn't been fishing since the last time he was here, and I do think that he has improved his skills considerably. He is much more coordinated now, and he didn't hit me in the face once with a lure!
We decided to come home about 18:30 because of hunger. That, and knowing that we will spend the next two days fishing... We will go out at sunrise tomorrow, come home about 10:00 and eat and nap, then go back about 15:00 and stay 'til dark. Repeat on Tuesday. Then comes Wednesday...
Back to work on Wednesday. I'm not really looking forward to it, but not dreading it, either. I will hate to leave Tyler with nothing to do, but I'm sure that he'll find some trouble to get into...
Tyler had acquired a reputation for fishing ineptitude. Lost lures, tangled lines and hooks in my head were his forte. I am glad to see his improvement. It is lot less expensive and nerve-wracking. Not knowing when you will get hit in the head next with a lure is not really conducive to a good fishing experience! So today was fun. As will be tomorrow and Tuesday, for we have similar plans for each day.
