Live from Huntsville, TX!

-----10:52-----

I got a pretty good night's sleep on the couch; the only problem was that the center cushion slid onto the floor sometime in the middle of the night, leaving my middle-parts sagging. JD reported that this was the case with him the night before. I may nail the cushion down tonight.

Lisa's work-place called at 08:00, reminding her that she was supposed to be there at 07:00, and she had overslept. She was quickly dressed and out the door. I went ahead and got up and made the first pot of coffee, and woke JD up, telling him that I was going to be on the computer. He gave up on sleeping and got up.

Tyler arrived home while we were messing with the computer. He didn't even come in and say "hi" but just went straight to bed. We couldn't overcome the temptation to rouse him, and we at least got him partially awake. I don't think that he'll wake up again for a while, though.

I think that this machine is pretty well straightened up, now. It seems to run a lot faster, anyway. Having trouble connecting to SHSU, however, but that may be their Sunday morning routine. All of their students are expected to be in church until noon...

Spent a lot of time trying to get the system to work. Very frustrating. We gave up on it and we're going to the campus tomorrow and get it figgered out. It's gotta be something pretty simple....

Marta and Warren invited us over for supper, and we got there about 18:30. Lisa begged off, so it was Tyler and JD and me. Marta and Warren greeted me cordially, and we had a nice evening making small talk. The enduring feeling was one of constraint, everybody careful with their words soas not to dredge up any of the old feelings.

We had an excellent meal, and talked some more. Warren showed me around the land, showing me the trees that he and Tyler had planted, etc. We left about 20:15 and arrived back at JD's to find that Lisa had had an asthma/anxiety attack. We spent some time with her making sure that she was OK (she was) and spent some more frustrating time on the computer. Everybody went to bed; it had been a long day...

Thanx for being here!
