Actually, I was almost asleep, despite the kicking, until about 00:30. Steve called and Karen answered the phone. There is a long story involved here, the gist of which is that Steve was too drunk to drive and he had Packy with him, so Karen got out of bed and went to pick them up; she wound up bringing Packy home and Steve was supposed to come right over and pick him up with Kim. He didn't make it until 02:30, though.

Having a lot of trouble with this damned computer. It will not let me open up MS Mail; it will just flash on the bar and go away. Finally, I fired up Netscrape and read my mail, leaving it on the server for when I can get MS mail working. Meanwhile, I'm downloading the newest version of internet explorer, the 4.0 Beta version. I'm hoping that will solve my problems without giving me a bunch of new ones. How likely is that, huh?

Lazy, lazy day. I do not feel like doing anything, but I put an ad in the paper again for the rental, and I've been over there a couple of times today already. No hot leads, though, dammit.

I really feel like taking a nap, but Karen would get upset at me if I do... I might anyway.

That was nice... a good nap, and Karen isn't mad at me, either... but Eileene is. I had promised to take her some images that I've been working on for her and I completely forgot about it. She worked until 19:00 and then called, so she's on her way over to pick them up. O'well, she's the forgiving kind. That's the best kind of friends to have!

Actually, that's the only kind that I have... the others go away.

MSIE 4.0 finished downloading while I snoozed... two hours worth! I've read good and bad reports on the installation, everything from "Wonderful" to "..and then I had to re-format my C drive..." This is a Developer's Issue so there are no guarantees on either installation or operation... further report later!
