...While you were sleeping....

I was listening to Gershwin. Definitely uplifting music.

Relatively slow night thus far... I was reflecting on what I had written yesterday, and a thought occurred to me... I wonder how much more productive I would be if I didn't have to worry about the world's problems? Yeah, I can provide my own humility sometimes, thanx.

Karen and I went over and boarded up the broken window yesterday afternoon. I had thought that I would take some interior panels from the building and use them, but they proved to be unsuitable, so I wound up putting a 4X4 sheet of plywood and a 3X4 sheet of fiberboard over the window. It looks like crap, but it will suffice until I can get some decent stuff and cut it properly...

Karen has taken off Friday and Monday, so we have four days to be together somewhere. It will probably be in Enid... I haven't visited Mom for quite a while. Karen enjoys Mom, too, so we will have fun. Actually, Karen and I have fun anytime that we can spend time together....

I'm sure that we'll drop off in Wichita to spend some time with her folks on the way, too.

With the Saab in the shop, Lisa and Karen are going to have to do some car-swapping, or anyway take turns driving the van. We need to talk to Lisa about the possibility of getting her a car sometime really soon. We will probably have to trade both the Saab and the van in to get anything decent (I would really like to get another Saab with a stick, but Karen is really reluctant to do that). Which leaves Karen and Lisa in a permanent swap situation, which would not be good.

The trouble is, everybody is used to being independent.... Damn! It's snowing! And it's April! It ain't supposed to snow in April! Well, OK, this is still Kansas... it will snow whenever it damn well feels like it.

It's not supposed to stick, though, just on the grass and trees... killing all of the fruit, of course. Well, the future fruit, anyway...

Thanx for being here!
