Thunder woke me up this morning after a glorious ten hours of sleep. The thunder continues with light rain, which, according to the weather channel, may become torrential at times! It is time again for interesting weather in the Kansas region.

The thunder is making all the kids with the super-bass cars jealous, I'm sure. I don't understand that phenomena... or maybe I do, and I'm surpressing it really good. One of my favorite cars in high school had a series of horns wired up so I could play simple tunes... rather primitive, but cheap. These super-bass deals aren't cheap at all...

The final results of the Great Journal Poll conducted by Jackie Rosenfield are in...

Here's a big hand for Jackie and all of the hard work that she put into this project!

There are several interesting things there. It seems that I committed an major faux pas again last week. There are not supposed to be things that I start to tell about and then don't. Well, sorry, I have to continue that story after it gets out of court. I hope that that's enough of an explanation for you all...

The lights are frequently blinking, which, in past times, would have made me get off the computer pronto. However, my APS unit just beeps to let me know that it will continue supplying power for me for five minutes or so... so I just sit here typing away.

I talked to JD and Tyler last night. It seems that there was a roach (not the crawly kind) found in Tylers' truck by one of those drug dogs. He claims that it was seven months old and that he had no idea that it was there, but he got busted anyway. He told me that he doesn't do that any more (very often) and that he has stopped smoking cigarettes... he just got tired of smoking. I am proud of him for the latter accomplishment, of course, and more than a little jealous.

It must be strange going to a school where they routinely bring in drug-sniffing dogs to check cars and lockers. Our society has a big problem, but not the one that it thinks it has.

Strange... I am for the legalization of marijuana, or at least decriminalization... but I don't really want my kids doing it. Mostly because it's illegal, but at least partly because I want their brains to be able to function well... I don't really care that much about other peoples' kids. After all, they will be competing with my kids for the jobs and the positions and the women...

Big plans for tonight... I get to go see Lacee at her dance class! Every month, parents and other interested folks get to watch the kids. Since I used to work every Wednesday night, I never got to go before, and I'm looking forward to seeing her in her little tu-tu!

Thanx for being here!
