We worked on the yard today. Picking up sticks & limbs, piling them all up in preparation for putting them on the trailer and hauling them off. Then I went to the rental place and unloaded the trailer and brought it back over here. At the moment, it is not loaded; I've been trying to get ahold of Betsy to see if we can dump it on her pile and go fishing, killing two birds with one stone.
Speaking of fishing, Packy doesn't want to go on the boat. He seems to be terrified of boats, but he's never been on one before. So I'm not really sure how that'll work out... we'll see.
I caught a couple more bass in the three-pound range, and he missed some, most likely crappie, but he had a really good time anyway. He started complaining about his hands getting sore, so we decided to call it a day. It was starting to get windier anyway, and I had forgotten my hat and was in danger of getting my head sunburned.
I will get the mower back this evening and then I will mulch up all of the leaves left over from last fall, and tomorrow I will go back over the yard and pick them up with the bagger. Lots of work, but fun for a while, anyway. Maybe we will have a decent yard this year.... maybe not. I seem to lose my enthusiasm once it starts getting hot....
Karen went to the store about the time I started with the mower, so she should be back really soon now. We are almost completely out of food. I took a shower when I got done and I'm about ready to collapse, so I'm gonna get this online, eat, and hit the hot tub for about an hour!
