I got a rose and a half-of-a-poem from Karen!
OK, the rose is no mystery.... but half-of-a-poem? Well, it works like this: she got me a five-part card with inscriptions on each of the five parts, then she wrote on the hearts on each part. The part she wrote are in italics...

We spent the evening going to Karens' kids' houses and distributing valentines. It is so nice to have all of her kids here... and so crummy that mine aren't. Most of the time I can just not think about it...
Herm and Debi and Ashley just left, we spent a nice evening together just hanging out & watching the KU-Colorado game on the tube. Karen fixed some fish on rice for supper and it was excellent. Ashley drew some pictures for us and we just generally sat around and BSed.
Karen and I got a little work done on the rental house today, we are going back tomorrow. I got the last door hung but I still need to put the lockset and handle in. We think that we've got it rented... fingers are crossed, anyway. I'll be glad to get that behind us.
