Valentine's Day... and my annual tribute to Karen, who remains the most wonderful woman in the world.
It's very early in the morning, about 01:00. After the sleep I had all day yesterday, I haven't been the least bit sleepy tonight, duh. So I'm playing Quake, after obtaining the cheat codes off of the net. I'm not very impressed, though. Kill one set of monsters, you've virtually killed them all. Especially if you can't get killed yourself. Supposedly, playing in GOD mode is boring to gung-ho gamesters. However, getting killed before I can accomplish anything at all is boring to me. I know, the challenge is to not get killed. Well, I can't do that, I'm a klutz, OK?
17:33 I spent the morning checking out the atheist pages, spending most of my time on The American Atheist page, a site that I'd not visited in quite a while. Kinda like reading the bible for a xian; I'm getting all enthusiastic for the cause.
Actually, it's not like that at all; atheism isn't self-contradictory or mean or spiteful or cruel or any of the other things that the bible is...
I found it especially interesting that churches don't pay about 20% of the property taxes in the United States. That means, of course, that I (& you, too) have to pay 20% more taxes to support the xians'(and other groups that maintain buildings in which they "worship") entertainment. And that's just a small part of the taxes that they don't pay.
O'well, it's not a perfect world...yet.
Karen and I are going out tonight for Val's day, don't know where we'll go or what we'll do, but we're bound to have fun! And Herman and Debi are coming over tomorrow night, so we're gonna have fun two nights in a row!
