I got a wonderful night's sleep. Our waterbed is wonderful!

The van is getting its brakes worked on, $ 240.00 worth. Life is Not Fair! Like, you didn't already know that...

I spent the rest of the morning re-doing my archives for the journal. I got August-December done, it takes about an hour for each page. They load as slow as molasses, anywhere from 80-110 K, but they will be seldom-accessed anyway, I think. And the savings in overhead is pretty impressive, they're condensed down to about 35%. I think that I will save even more when I do January, the overhead per file is greater with the new format. I'm going to wait 'til the end of each month to condense the last months' journal, though.

I think that I'll spend some more time doing the rest of the entries this afternoon. I'm too lazy to do anything else...

16:34: I did get the rest of the archiving done. Very boring job, but necessary.

It's lightly raining out, supposed to turn into snow sometime soon, but I don't think we're supposed to accumulate any significant amount. I probably ought to watch the weather, though, just in case it turns nasty for my trip to Wichita and back tomorrow.

Interesting piece of email this afternoon... Fred Phelps estranged son wrote me and said that he was thinking of doing some counter-picketing. Wondered if I would be interested. I think that I am, but I need to think about it a while first before I make any commitments. It would be interesting and fun, most likely. Probably dangerous, too.

I'm going to spend the evening reviewing journals and poking around on the web... I haven't done that for a while.. :^)

Thanx for being here!
