00:45: And I'm excited. I entered a contest that's being run by the IE-HTML list, and I just know I'm gonna win. It's an xmas page contest, and here's My entry (an anti-xmas one, natch)(no longer available...01/16/1999)

I slept several hours today, missing Drew's birthday party (He's one year old!) and just barely getting up in time to shower and get dressed to go to Herman and Debi's for supper. We had a wonderful time, Debi is an excellent cook. She did a shrimp stir-fry that was perfect. Then we sat around and shot the shit for a while. Karen started off the evening with a headache, so we left earlier than I really wanted to. I gave her the Old Franklin cure when we got home, though, so she'll be all right now.

Nothing much else going on right now. Karen has a busy day planned for us tomorrow (today, actually) so I better cut this short. I will have another entry later on...

Got some interesting email on a wholly different subject, and I was unable to reply for lack of a good address! Hopefully, Ian will look here and give me his real address...

Ian:
Thank you for your interest. Normally, this would be a form email, but I haven't gotten around to doing that yet. Our members are legion. They are innumerable. All of them are planning on joining in the near future. There are no requirements, but contributions are accepted, Large bills are the best. Checks are accepted too. At this time, contributions via major credit cards are a no-no.

What's in it for you? Just a warm, fuzzy feeling, knowing that you are justified in your outlook on life:-)

I'm not really sure if I'll respond to this or not. Maybe later I'll decide.

Thanx for being here!

I have been getting a lot of ... reaction... to my antixmas page. Including some really negative stuff from my normally wonderful and supportive wife, Karen. Here's my reply to one of the responses from a long-time and loyal reader:(Karen did like this!)
Hi *****! I'm not really that much of a humbug. I do enjoy parts of the season, the get-togethers and the little kids' awe of the season. It's really hard for me to go just half-way on something, though. I'm an all-or-nothing kind of a person, and it's not comfortable sometimes!
Most of the other responses I've gotten condemned me for my ideology, but some of them also applauded my audacity. Many of them, of course, are not worthy of a reply.

Being as I was up 'til 04:30 and got up again at 08:30, I'm gonna take a little nappie now! More later, maybe!

Also, I'm trying to use a background sound, you should be able to hear it if you're using MS Internet Explorer 3.1. Let me know what you think!

18:12: Pretty worthless day. Kim and the grandkids have been here all day, Kim is sick so we're kinda baby-sitting. I tried to get some more sleep and I couldn't, so as the day progressed I continued to feel worse. Just took a shower, thinking it'd pep me up, but no-go on that. I'm not really just tired, I feel like I'm getting something again! I would really like to feel good just two days in a row sometime...

Still getting negative mail, but some positive in there too... about 50 to 2 so far. Actually, it's all positive, it means that I've been able to make people think. Well, some of them sounded like they thought a little bit, a lot of it's knee-jerk stuff.

More tomorrow!

Thanx for being here!
