Re: Cat problem: Defecation in inappropriate places continues. Scroungy definitely not responsible. Most likely suspect: Midnight.
I must catch her in the act and kill her. Or maybe just scare the shit out of her. Oops, inappropriate terminology. I must teach her proper manners. Then put the fecal material where it belongs, in the litter box. She's not really stupid, I might not have to kill her.
I will go out tomorrow and get each cat a bed. This might make up for them not being outside at will, but I doubt it. My conscience will be assuaged, at least, and Karen will maybe forget about my unjust (partially, I Know he's the urinator{I caught him in the act}) accusation and subsequent banishment of scroungy.
I still don't like him. And of the three remaining cats, I like Midnight the least, so she better watch out, too.
We have officially acquired a boarder. Lisa will be moving back with us on Saturday on a temporary basis for an unknown period. She is wanting to go to school this next semester at Washburn. She will be a big help for Karen and I around the house, too.
I really like this robin's egg blue for the background. I think that I'll keep it for a while.
I just remembered... those of you not on my mailing list might've missed the last half of yesterday's entry. If you think that you did, hit it again.
I don't know why I'm still up, but I am, going strong, as long as I don't get up from this chair. My ass is getting sore, though. I've spent several... minutes browsing pornography (perfectly legal, I'm over 21 and this was a European lady and a European site) that one of my fellow journalers linked to....
Countdown to the Big 40.
Another interesting link is Gus, who discusses my failure re:tobacco cessation. He thought the story should come out with a happy ending. Sorry, Gus. The world is not like that. Gus also has posted some very good satire. Definitely worth a read, even a bookmark.
I am constantly amazed at my fellow journalers. They all have full knowledge of the fact that they are producing the freshest, neatest, most interesting and I must say, absolutely coolest stuff on the web. But they persist in their negligence, lazing away their weeks and only writing once or twice. Shame, shame shame! Alethea (Tracings) also mentions this in her "Journal Rules" (It's really I like it when you do that) essay. So I'm not the only one.
Lessee, who else can I link to today? Whoops... I better go read those rules again! (*smile*, Alethea!)
Damn! I'm still up! Well, not for long. Might as well read the paper and fix Karen a pot of coffee, though, before I hit the sack. Wow, it sure is nice to have my mouse back. Pointing device, that is.
There will be more later, so check back!
Karen wanted to go see Phenomena tonight, so she was supposed to wake me up when she got home. Well, she didn't, I got up on my own finally. She has a headache again, and doesn't really feel like going out. I'm afraid that she might be getting something... something is definitely going around... some kinda virus (but not the flu) that is really evil. I hope that is not the case, for selfish as well as altruistic reasons. I don't want her to suffer, and if it is contagious, I will get it soon, too.
Cowboy spent the day outside. Karen let him out when she left, I never saw him the rest of the day (but I hit the sack at 11:00). Karen let him in when she got home.
I just realized what time it was. I better get this finished and up.
I've spent the evening working on files... taking out the lpage guestbook entirely, modifying all of the files, removing references to the old way that I indexed journals, just generally cleaning up, etc.
I've noticed that the lpage guestbook has been down for at least a couple of days. Excellent idea, poor anticipation and subsequent execution. It's OK to get something for free, but don't depend on it!
Now that I've started working on my other pages, I realize that this will be a winterlong project. And speaking of winter, it's starting to sleet here. Some places are getting hit rather nastily, according to the weather channel. Kansas is a really good place to be... we usually miss out on the big storms, except for the tornados.
I watched Frazier tonight, it was pretty good. I usually don't watch shows like that. I don't want to get sucked into it, either.
Enough for tonight! Back to work for me, off to bed for you-all, probably.
