Nice day for a Sunday... got up late, read the paper, Karen went to the "Boo at the Zoo" with the grandkids, I moved the computer back upstairs...

Yeah, the big move to the basement didn't work out. Too damned gloomy down there, for one thing. Too remote for another. Moving the computer was easy, but I can't get the sound card or the modem to work right yet. I've got the sound card hooked up to an old stereo, and the stereo quit working. I must've blown it, somehow, when I hooked it up. Oh, yeah, I forgot to turn the sound card to "external amp" so running the amplified signal to the stereo probly did it. Old, old stereo. Old, dead stereo. I need another brain. O'well.

I got the modem working... I got the insulation in the way when I made the connection to the box. Got it right and it works very well again. Once again, I need another brain. Which reminds me, I forgot to bring my skull up... I'm used to him watching over me. Helps me keep track of my mortality. Not likely I'd forget, anyway.

Karen is in a kinda bad mood today, she told me that she'd had a couple of drinks and then got mad at herself for some reason or another. She went over to Andy and Carlas' a little while ago... they moved into a new place yesterday, I need to go out and see them too, but I'm way too lazy (or tired) to go tonight.

The Chiefs got their asses kicked good today by Denver... they really sucked. I can't recall a single good play other than the kickoff runback by Vanover for a TD. But I hardly watched any of the last half... I got busy moving stuff upstairs. I get discouraged really easy where the Chiefs are concerned. I really had the feeling that they would lose today, but I didn't suspect that they'd lose as badly as they did.

O'well. Start looking forward to next season, I guess...

Lots o' stuff to do tomorrow, I'm gonna try to get an early start...
