A much better day today, except for the fact that I creaked when I got up. OK after that, though, but I'm still really sore.

Last night in the hot tub Karen asked me why I hadn't been fishing lately, and I told her that I'd been too busy, and that I just wasn't very enthusiastic about it anyway. Well, she worried about this uncharacteristic statement all night, then before I started to go to work at the rental house this morning we talked about it, and she convinced me to go fishing today. So I called Betsy and got cleared there, then I called Doug. I had told Doug yesterday that I had way too much to do to go fishing, so he and Sherry had made other plans. However, those plans were soon changed, and a half-hour later he was at my door.

It was not a good fishing day, very windy. We caught fish anyway. I was using a black jig and a trailer, a rig that I am usually not very confident about using, but I just had a feeling... and it was right. I outcaught Doug 5 to 3, all very nice bass. Doug had 5 more on but lost them before getting them into the boat.

We left about 15:00; I had to get home and do some chores and so did Doug. He and Sherry came over about 18:45 and we went to the Outback Steak House and stuffed ourselves. Then we came home and BSed for a couple of hours. Doug and Sherry had not been out without their kids for more than a year... they really enjoyed themselves, I think. Sherry was celebrating passing her LPN Boards test, so she really deserved a night out. Unfortunately, their babysitter had to leave at 22:00. so we had a kinda short night.

I'm looking forward to not creaking so much when I get up in the morning. Karen and I are going to hot tub again, and I'll probably sleep like a baby again. I just love it when I can get my days turned around right... it doesn't happen all that often!

I spent some time last night doing HTLM for a contents page, with a years' worth of calendars on it. Then I realized that it took 30 seconds to load from my hard drive, it would take way too long on the net, so I saved you guys some time and scrapped it.

Speaking of scrapping stuff... the lpage guest-book is no longer here. They've screwed around way too much with it, I'm just gonna dump that too. I really like the guestbook idea, but there's gotta be a better way!

Enough for now... on to the hot tub!
