09:14

I got up way too early this morning. About 04:00, I think it was. The mail server was down again, so I spent more time browsing new journals and "it's personal" pages. There was a nice thunderstorm, probably what woke me up, but not a very exciting one. More thunder than rain. I'm getting a glucose tolerance test this morning, and I needed to fast beforehand. I got my blood drawn at 07:30, then went to eat breakfast at the hospital. Good, cheap food. Then at 10:15, I need to go get more blood drawn. What this is going to tell me is the state of my pancreas. I'm probably hypoglycemic, but I also could be borderline diabetic. None of this should surprise me any, nothing from my brain down seems to work right anymore!

Weird nightmare last night. I was shaving my beard for some reason (I never shave my beard), and the razor kept taking out big chunks of my face. Then I went to put on deodorant, and there were razors in the deodorant thing that took chunks out of my armpits. Not little chunks, either. And I was trying to stop the bleeding with little tiny pieces of toilet paper. I looked at myself in the mirror and all I could see were my eyes. The rest was bone and blood. OK, Willa, what does this mean? Let me try first...

OK, the self-mutilation is kinda obvious. I hate the fact that I can't quit smoking. The little ineffective pieces of toilet paper are the cigarettes I'm trying to use to assuage myself. Hmmm. Pretty good for a beginner. Actually, this is a dream I've had before, with some minor variations. I don't remember the toilet paper.

Anyway, I've got some errands to run, then back downtown to get the blood drawn again, then to work at Medassist at 11:00. I'll be back later, check in again...

17:26

A busy day at Medassist! We've been discovered! I even got to take some xrays! Unfortunately, we were too busy to keep track of the weather... when I went to work, there wasn't a cloud in the sky, so I did something I never do. I left my windows down. And about 14:00 when I was xraying a patient, I heard thunder. It was pouring and blowing. It was 16:00 before I got a chance to go roll the windows up, which was way too late. Everything was soaked, there was even H2O on the inside of the windshield. I got a very wet ass on the way home!

I called my Dr., they got the first report back and my blood sugar was normal. The results of the second part of the test weren't back yet, though. I'll have to wait until tomorrow. I'm pretty sure they'll be normal too, however. I've been feeling pretty good since Saturday, except for a persistent mild headache. That kinda worries me, because I never have headaches. I think maybe I've got a virus or something innocuous like that.

The damned mail server is down again! This is getting really old. Probably has something to do with the thunderstorm maybe. I'm really getting to depend on getting my email when I want it, I feel cut off when the damned server is down. What's happening out there? Why isn't anyone talking to me??? Oh, I forgot...don't do why questions on Mondays...

Added a FAQ to the main menu...
Added a guestbook to the Journal TOC page... but the server is too busy to test it. I think maybe it's a bad idea. Somebody outgrew their facilities sooner than expected....

Going to call it an early night tonight, maybe do some poem-writing. I'm getting that urge again... I might put something up later.

OK, here it is. Not a poem, though, and those of you who don't follow journals closely may miss the point...

Thanx for being here!
