Well, I did get eight hours of sleep. Now I need to get ten. They called me in early last night, one of the evening people called in sick, so I got another 2 hours of OT.

My friend Eileene brought her little IBM laptop in to work last night, and we re-installed windows 95 on it. It had gotten out of whack somehow, so I wound up deleting the windows directory from DOS and doing a new install. It works great now, but she's got to re-install several of her program that it should've picked up. That reminds me, she's supposed to be scanning a picture for me to put up!

Anyway, this brings up the fact that I still don't have a laptop. And also brings me the realization that I don't really need one. I just need to get to play with one occasionally. Kinda like I don't really need a wife... but I do want one, and occasional playing with one doesn't really get it. The wife, I'm talking about now.

Speaking of wives, I picked up on something Willa mentioned yesterday, that she was going to get Bob a carton of cigarettes at the store. What a nice wife. Karen won't buy my cigarettes for me unless I beg, and am completely disabled and can't get them myself. It's a matter of principal with her, and it really is with Willa too. She wrote me back saying that she doesn't usually do that, it was an exceptional happenstance.

I'm going to seriously consider quitting smoking again. Tyler and I talked about it a bit when he was here, and he really needs to quit. While he still can. Maybe I should set a good example for him... although that probably wouldn't do any good. Everybody's got to do it on their own, somehow.
